Betcha there aren't many 97+ that didn't go to private preschool, which is $$$$$. Shows that money is a big factor in these G&T placements. [ Reply | More ]

Wrong in our case. DS got 97--daycare for 4 years and one year of public Pre-K. Know 2 other kids who got similar scores (95 and 99) with the same background. [ Reply | More ]

NP: The distinction between private pre-school and private daycare is pretty difficult to make. I think it'd be interested to see what connection there is between OLSATS and time spent outside the home, whether daycare or pre-school. [ Reply | More ]

99 and public pre-k. There were 3 other students in my DD class who scored 98, and 2 in the other pre-k in the school who were also 97 or above. That's 6 out of 40 from from one public pre-k. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] So stressed out. Someone wrote a fraudulent check out of DH and my bank account for 6K! I suspect one babysitter who just got fired (she was a live-in nanny for people in our building but sat for us occasionally). what on earth am I supposed to do about this? We think she may have stolen a check or book. DH is going to bank tomorrow to contest. this kind of thing is so scary. we are such trusting people and always treated her (and all other people who watch our kids and do work in our house) so well. 9 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

oh, DH was on the phone w/ the bank all weekend. he was out of town on a business trip today (left yesterday, gets back late tonight) but he has to go in an sign an affidavit and bring in paperwork, etc. tomorrow. such a nightmare. Why does he need any paperwork? The bank has your signature cards. They can just compare them to see the difference [ Reply | More ]

if it was from a check written from your checkbook, you need to let them know the possibilities. I'm sure they can pull up bank cameras (if they'll do that) to see if the person looks familiar. [ Reply | More ]

At Hunter round 2 AD stated no difference between a 98 and a 99. This obsession over scores is so ridiculous. With OLSAT you are talking a couple of questions. The standard definition of giftedness is testing in 95 percentile. That would include all chn who made citywide cut-off and many of those that made district. Those that keep harping on scores sound like real insecure. beyotches. [ Reply | More ]

you put a gate on his door until he can climb over the gate. at that point you then threaten to close the door unless he stays in his bed or you tell him to go to bed without any kind interaction. tough, but it works and it's for their benefit that they learn to fall asleep and stay in their own bed. such an alarmist. one friend of yours had a problem. yet hundreds of women use home and herbal remedies and end up not having to overdose themselves with antibiotics. if OP just thinks she has one (no blood in urine, not much pain) then it's worth trying non-antibiotic measures first.
