No way - tankini flares or bunches a bit at the waist and ruins the line of the torso either in a one peice of bikini. It is boxy and unflattering plus the bottoms are cut akwardly and just give you that extra blob of fat on your sides and thighs. [ Reply | More ]

i had mine at Columbia NY Pres...unfortunately, i had to share a Recovery room on my first night (private rooms fully booked). Then paid $400 for a private room on the second night. Not sure if this is the case at Cornell, but sharing a room was quite miserable---DH couldn't spend the night with me and roomie's baby kept me up all night. 90% of Recovery Dept. nurses were overwhelmed or annoying. Labor and Delivery was very nice, clean, and brand new - staff was great. [ Reply | More ]

I had my 2nd daughter at NY Presbyterian/Cornell Medical Center. It was a terrible experience. As soon as I checked in, I told them I wanted an epidural. After 2 hours, I had my daughter sans drugs. They couldn't find the anesthesiologist on call (Dr. Jill Fong). She didn't answer any of her pages. I know there are women out there who want a natural birth. But, I was totally unprepared: I didn't know how to breath; I didn't know how to position myself--I didn't get trained in advance. I wrote several letters to Cornell's Customer Care department for them to investigate their inter-, intra-departmental communication. But, they are protecting their own. Finally, they told me to contact the NY State Board of Health because they didn't want to deal with me. A patient should get pain alleviation within 2 hours at a hospital. Dr. George Sylvestre was on call that evening. His resident was extremely inexperienced and ineffective. No one at Cornell takes accountability because there are too many change of hands when you are admitted. I had my first daughter at NYU Hospital. My experiences was 100% better.Their anesthesiologists responded almost immediately. NYU was much more coordinated and caring. Their staff communicates much better. I was so surprised b/c Cornell was voted as the "best place to give birth in New York" by "New York Magazine." The more women I run into who have given birth there, the more terrible stories I hear. One mother got a terrible Staph infection from her infant because Cornell's nursery team didn't catch it in time. (The baby got Staph from the nursery.) Cornell upgraded them so that they wouldn't be sued. If you have time to choose, I would choose NYU Hospital. My experience was good there (not excellent, but much better than Cornell). The host purposely told him an earlier time since they are always late. The guest were there, STARVING, the host insisted on waiting since they are best friends..well he showed up 5 hrs late..I mean 5 hrs after all of the guest were told to show up..that is 8hrs after he was asked to show up. He laughed, no apologies and said oh well you know how I am. Moving foward a yr, I had a dinner party and we ate when dinner was ready. He was pissed at me because I didn't wait for him to arrive. I told him, he knew the time and knew I wasn't going to be rude to my other guest who arrived on time. UGH hate ppl like that 36 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

agree. op is just boring, and her friend probably has other things that he prefers to do, but is too polite to miss her parties altogether. wake up, lady. plus he probably assumed that he was invited 5hrs earlier, i mean, technically, at what time did you invite him for dinner, at 2pm? duh? op: ok you need to read my post. I was not the one inviting him to a dinner party at 2pm like you so nicely put..it was another couple. I just posted this off of the late post so I could give my experience with someone who was rude and always late. You are reading WAY too much into it [ Reply | More ]
