It's the same -- I'm a good mom (IMO -- and she says so, too) and I go to her for advice sometimes and often trust her opinion. But I also still react to her sometimes (she unintentionally pushes my buttons). [ Reply | More ]

That's it -- this is always going to happen, it's the same sorts of things that have made me crazy for years and years. We have a nice relationship and get along well -- but she sure knows how to push my buttons! [ Reply | More ]

It went from bad to worse. She's very passive aggressive, as well as manipulative, needy, victim syndrome ... the list goes on ... I think I am a much better mom than she was in almost every way, and that she is defensive about it ... but that's just the beginning of our problems, lol. [ Reply | More ]

Many private schools start middle school at 4th and 5th grades and admit new students, if any, only at somewhat later grades. It's something to think about if you are thinking of applying for private middle schools. Not only will your child be a new student in an unfamiliar school, but they will be in a situation where the other kids have already been departmentalized, sometimes for several years.
