[ - ] For the past week i've been having really strange dreams at night. I keep waking up in the middle of the night scared and I can't find any comfort, I would wake up my husband but he works so hard and I would feel guilty. My dreams consist of death, murder, and most recently my brother (who passed away in december). In the dreams with my brother, it's usually him saying things to me like "why did i die?" or "how could this happen to me?" I guess i'm just trying to figure out what I can do to be able to sleep through the night. I think I could be pregnant with db #2 and this could be the reason for all the strange dreams. Thanks in advance. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

oh sorry, that's bad. and probably subconscious about your brother, adn maybe the new baby. i've had those weeks, and then they usually pass so i hope it does for you. but i'd wake your dh if you think he might be able to comfort you and help you sleep. if it's scary for you to be alone with it, wake him and apologize, but do it. I'm currently pg and in Jan (the mo. before I got pg) I had a dream with a friend of mine who is dead. It was so real. I felt his arms around me when he hugged me, I felt his presence. In that dream a lady came to me and told me that I'm pg, what I would have and when I would be delivering. A mo. later I found out I was pg with that same month as my due date and the same sex as the lady in the dream predicted. I think pg dreams are very wacky. After readying just the first couple of lines in your post, I was going to post and ask if you could be pg. BTW I'm sorry for your loss. In the dreams do you talk back to your brother? Maybe talking to him will help with the dreams [ Reply | More ]

OP- I keep hoping for dreams like that, where it's more loving. When I dream of him it's usually either him just being around like normal or him talking about his death to me and it feeling really awkward, I can't seem to find anything to say to him about it. His death was really sudden from MRSA. besides the dreams of my brother I keep having terrifying dreams, I had one the other night that I killed a baby and I woke up almost in tears and I sat in bed for hours waiting for the sun to come up. (which is what i'm doing now) I have always had a fear of the dark (stupid, i know) and this is just making it harder for me to even want to go to sleep at night. I have been having pregnancy symptoms for a few days now and I took a test yesterday but it came out negative. I am going to wait another week before testing again. [ Reply | More ]

so sorry these visits from your brother have been so upsetting. I hope you will find something to say to him. Maybe this will help. I wish I knew what to tell you. If you believe (like some ppl say) that our loved ones do visit us in dreams, then maybe he doesn't really understand why he passed. The other dreams you are having sounds like pg dreams. Before Feb( the month I got pg) I was having dreams for 2 mo prior (bad and weird dreams). I think I M/C those prior months (chemical pg) since I was late for 2 mo in a row, had symptoms but after a few days period came. GL [ Reply | More ]

Thanks for your help. I guess I never really thought about him not understanding why he passed...that seems to make more sense. I'm sorry to hear of your M/Cs, I have been TTC for nearly 6mo for db #2 and it's been hard, I think i'm sort o in denial that I even could be pregnant because of past letdowns. I do hope all goes well and I really appreciate you helping me with this situation. [ Reply | More ]

not all but most shots contain aluminum which is a toxin. However MMR does not have any of those it has other problematic ingredients that can trigger little bodies to react badly. [ Reply | More ]

Ok. Keep deluding yourself. There are hundreds of more reasonable things (and actual toxins!) to worry about than that your child is going to get autism from your MMR vaccine. Even more preposterous is asking a board of anonymous internet users instead of an actual (gasp) physician about what vaccine schedule you should use. [ Reply | More ]

No, because D3 schools used to be able to accept kids from all over. Now it's changed and they are very tight on zoning. Don't rely on what people "used" to pull off. Any kids starting at a new school this year, at any elementary grade level...there is a good chance you will be caught if you lie, even though in the past it was pretty easy. [ Reply | More ]

No, it's as simple as them mailing you a letter. If it comes back to them or if they get a forwarding notice, they will investigate. For whatever reason they are getting very pissy about it this year. This coming from our UPK director, who is constantly asking people for more paperwork. [ Reply | More ]

True. That's why for the D3 lottery, you needed to bring in the letter they sent you in order to register. It was another way of checking if you live where you say you do. [ Reply | More ]

As I said, rules used to be laxer. They are cracking down on 08 admissions. Also, kids are always allowed to move out of zone--or out of district--once they complete K. So many will have outside addresses later on. But for this year's K, you run a much bigger chance that you will be caught if you lie. [ Reply | More ]

i think it totally depends on the "route." Some buses stop at numerous schools, others at just a few, or just one. If the bus picks her up, and the first school stop is her school, then great. If that is not the case, then it depends. See if you can verify the route and stops. [ Reply | More ]

Is your child just starting the school? I would try to not use a bus if at all possible, at least in the beginning. I think going to school with your child can open all kinds of conversations and will give more of an opportunity for you to meet other parents and children. Are parents allowed in the classroom in the morning? You can read to your child or they may point out things they are excited about in the classroom. I'm a single, working mom, so I know how hard it can be, but I think the experience of accompanying your young child to school can be a really important one. [ Reply | More ]

thousands of kindergarteners do it in NYC every year, including my own. Unless your child is especially anxious, I think it is not only fine, but can be a great experience. My dd never would have known any older kids without the bus. She was always thrilled at seeing the older kids around the school bldg -- it made her feel important, or special. And there was another K girl on her bus and they became fast best friends, which was an added bonus. [ Reply | More ]
