the real secret is being happy with what you have and practicing having a grateful heart. I don't mean you have to believe in God (although I do think that helps) but just think about the good things in your life. When you have to think about the negative, figure out ways to change the situation and/or your attitude about it. Every morning when you wake up, think about 3 things your are grateful and happy about. Do this at least 3 times a day [ Reply | More ]

yes, of course, for growth hormone deficient kids and adults. actually, it's also approved for idiopathic shortness, but it doesn't work well in that population and has many side effects [ Reply | More ]

You'll find time when your motivated enough or bored enough. Get a notebook and start writing out the things you want to do. I think most people do this, especially with kids. [ Reply | More ]

I'm much happier away from my ex, and the kids are calmer and do better in school. But my H was a violent alcoholic, so not sure that helps you. All I can say is, if it's necessary you can find a way to make it work for you and your kids. AND the kids are the most important part. Just make sure they feel secure and stable, and you are fine [ Reply | More ]

Are you separated yet, legally or not? Any kids? Have the two of you discussed it yet or is it just so bad that you know it's not going to get better. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] nanny called last wk that she hurt her leg and cannot come back for at least 3 wks. she knows that june and july are my busiest work wks of the year, where i get paid 70% of my yearly salary. i cant afford to take off during this time at all. nanny has been rather lazy for last few mos and we've been thinking of replacing her anyway. i hired somebody last wk as a temp, but things are going well. original nanny cant guarantee me when she'll come back, and temp nanny is looking for another job obviously bec i've told her this isnt permanent. now i want to make it permanent, but dh worried original nanny will sue us or something for firing her when she's out sick. what do you think? 6 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Is nanny legal? If not she probably won't sue. You're not required to have sick leave for household staff, I don't think. It should be really easy to google labor laws in your state. [ Reply | More ]

not legal. but you dont think it's just mean to former nanny? my plan was to keep her till sept, then when kids are in school most of the day anyway i'd find somebody new. [ Reply | More ]

not mean if she hasn't been reliable. I think if you don't fire her, you need a doctors note. I can't imagine how bad her leg must be to not be able to work for 3 weeks. I know crutches are a pain in the neck, but she should still be able to work. Also, doctors usually know about how long things take to heal. [ Reply | More ]

Dear Madame, I know this might sound a bit harsh but I do think you should consider getting a permant Nanny. Hence your present Nanny is not reliable... [ Reply | More ]
