[ - ] I have been involved w/ a guy... we've had many ups and downs but we always seem to come back to the "relationship" and despite a lot of $hit that's gone on neither of us it seems can just walk away from it. We are pretty honest w/ each other at this point, and he told me he thinks we share similar views about life and how we want to live one day. We have amazing sexual chemistry and really enjoy spending time w/ each other but he has told me that, although he is not the boyfriend type, he is willing to try to work to find some sort of solution. I just don't understand how you can have such an amazing physical and emotional connection w/ someone and they don't at least want to give it a try. I told him I just don't think he is that "into me" but he said he wants to be with me, albeit in a no-strings-attached kind of way, which is not what I want. I was 24 he was 33. I saw him a few times after that - when he asked how I was I said things are really great, new guy and I are very happy together. I never left it open for him to make a move. He called about 2 years after and said he'd looked me up and wanted to make sure that new guy appreciated how great I am and is treating me well. I said thanks, he is. Hope you are doing well too. I think you're assuming a lot. I look around at other parents at my kids' schools and figure I don't know the full story unless I know them really well. You never know what someone else is truly dealing with. And for the record, I've got a DH who works long erratic hours, travels a great deal and w/ not much warning or pattern, two kids to manage, a household to run, some help but certainly not a full-time nanny and I still manage to take care of myself. I am from East Brunswick, NJ and I would not live there again b/c there is no town center, it's the bus vs. the train to NYC, and it doesn't have enough character. Plus it's a little cheesy.
