Basically, I had no idea I had a hernia. Then I had sudden sharp pains under my belly button, which I ignored for a day or so. Then when I felt down there a few days later, I could feel what felt like a marble protruding out. I googled it and ended up going to the ER, where they recommended immediate surgery, because of risk/pain. I had surgery a week or so later. Got pregnant a year after the surgery and all has been fine (knock on wood...). Currently 39 weeks pregnant. [ Reply | More ]

Going through the same thing. I just turned 40 and I think I am mourning what could have been (even though I have two wonderful kids) Hubby had no interest in a third but I would have done it in a second two or three years ago. Your 40 year old "twin" above understands how you are feeling! My hubby has said that if I let him quit his job and stay at home he would have a third.
