wow! I feel the opposite. in the past, felt pregnancy and new dbs represented the biggest high in life. Now, my dcs are older, and I would never want to go back there. I loved all their stages, but keep loving where we are more and more. no longer feel the need to go through it again. so happy having a family of 4. [ Reply | More

Going through the same thing. I just turned 40 and I think I am mourning what could have been (even though I have two wonderful kids) Hubby had no interest in a third but I would have done it in a second two or three years ago. But now youngest is 5 and my career has taken off and the moment has past. But the kids are lobbying for a third and I can't help feeling sad that there won't be one. [ Reply | More

you are me. things are so much easier now, work finally back on track. Now DH says a third might have worked! Two DCs, youngest age 6. Will be 41 later this year and am actually thinking about IVF. Your 40 year old "twin" above understands how you are feeling! My hubby has said that if I let him quit his job and stay at home he would have a third. However I am trying to be honest with myself about the fact that although I want to be pregnant again and I want a baby, that I am not sure how I feel about messing up our almost normal now home life with the introduction of a third child or gumming up my career. Honestly, I'm ambivalent too. Kids in same school makes it so much easier. Finally able to go on some real trips. But then I think #3 would be hard for only a few years and also that it's biological the very last opportunity. Maybe I'm just mourning my youth and fertility. [ Reply | More
