We used it with both dc. It's really easy to bounce it manually--you don't have to keep doing it, only when dc is fussing. I think it's probably better in the long run not to have one that constantly vibrates because I've heard dc go bananas if the thing eventually turns off. I LOVE the oeuf one--great to keep in the living room just as a place to set the baby down, even. [ Reply | More ]

I love my Baby Au Lait nursing apron. It's much easier than a blanket. I didn't have it for #1 dc and always found bf in company a bit awkward now I feel like I have a lot more freedom. Having said that I have a friend whose baby hates being covered and will not tolerate a nursing apron or blanket. GL [ Reply | More ]

I got a bebe au lait nursing cover but I found it very hard to use with a newborn. I liked the fact that the neckline was rigid, but I hold my DD low for BF and the material caves in so I can't see down and had to keep poking my head into the neckhole to see that she was latched on correctly. It will probably work better for you if your DB will arrive during the cooler months. Several times I have gotten the cover out and was BF DD and ended up taking it off because she had gotten too hot and was fussing under the cover. DD is 5 mos now and I've used the cover less than 10 times. It did help me out initially because I was so worried about exposing myself but now I don't really care. Whatever you use, make sure that it is very light weight so that DB does not get too hot! [ Reply | More ]

I think it's possible as long as you and your ex are on the same page in terms of what you want. I think schools are most concerned about whether they'll get caught in a situation where someone refuses to pay the bills. You can go ahead and try since I do know of people who are divorced who have dc's in private schools. And I even know situations where both parents were not there for the interview. [ Reply | More ]

My DD spits up all the time. Sometimes she overeats and looks up at me after BF and then lets a whole bunch dump out of her mouth. Lots of people will suggest to keep DB upright for 20 min after feeding but that can get old fast and doesn't help. Make sure to do slow transitions between holding DB horizontal to vertical and when you stand up holding DB, don't get up too fast. The sudden movement or position change can bring on the fountain.
