You are supposed to write in the same style as the invitation. [ Reply | More ]

Really? I looked it up somewhere when I was confronted with one. basically the level of formality of your response should match that of the invitation. That's wrong? [ Reply | More ]

Look it up online..you write Mr & Mrs X accept with pleasure the kind invitation of Mr & Mr Y for the wedding of A&B on....the language follows the language of the invitation, which is what the person meant who aid "same style of the invitation" - she was correct. [ Reply | More ]

depends how stuck-up the person is, otherwise can just say whether you will attend or not [ Reply | More ]

Actually...no...etiquette is etiquette. If the invitation has informal wording, your response is worded informally. If it's formal in tone, you respond formally. "stuck up" has nothing to do with it. Bitter much? [ Reply | More ]

sheesh, for most people, letting them know if you will attend is sufficient, but if the bride or groom are really into "etiquette", then, yes, by all means write out the entire response as written above. [ Reply | More ]

It is virtually extinct to receive a plain card with the line "The pleasure of a reply is requested". And I sell invitations for a living. [ Reply | More ]
