Sounds like it's normal then. Kids like to eat! I'd suggest trying regular meals and 2x snacks a day and that should get dc into a normal eating pattern. If you snack all day and give snacks all day dc will eat them. [ Reply | More

We put ds in toddler bed (which is just a small bed with same mattress size as crib) but at 2.7yo he already looks big in it. Good idea I heard is to get a twin bed matress and use that on the floor until dc is big enough to manage climbing in/out of a twin bed. [ Reply | More

There's a great playground on Jane Street and the West Side Highway with lots of sprinklers. It's oval shaped, and the grown-ups can sit on the perimeter. Totally safe, and it almost feels like a day at the beach because it's right on the water. Bring some water balloons. My kids are the same age; the older one still likes it, but sometimes she'll bring a book along if she wants to just rest for a while. It's right by the West Village, so you can walk over to Cowgirl Hall of Fame for lunch or dinner. The playground has a bathroom right near it, and a vendor selling drinks, ices, food. Just bring towels and bathing suits, and you're all set. [ Reply | More
