OP: we're the opposite of most UB posters in that we went to a "lesser" preschool. Someone had a thread talking about off the radar, more affordable preschools. We ended up at St Joseph's Yorkville which was so warm and sweet and yet had the more academic stuff that my kid craved. It was the perfect place for us and I would have never found it otherwise. He's at a really great public gifted program now. I feel like UB gets so much grief for talk about exclusive private schools, but in reality all types of parents are lurking here and most are really really helpful. [ Reply | More
