I dont- I am sorry. Something like Wireless solutions or something. Really nice Indian woman works there with her son. On the west side of the street. Sells only phones. Glad I can help because I was getting so frustrated with the judgemental women on this board getting on that poor woman's back about her cheating husband. People need to have some compassion around here. [ Reply | More ]

my DS is almost 3.5 and they are all at least a year older...they were running around together playing and he was trying a little but they kept running away when he got there, once they slammed the door when he tried to get in the room. I dont think they were trying to be mean, just not interested in playing with a younger kid [ Reply | More ]

Teach him confidence in other ways. I once taught a 3 year old who was extremely shy and cried at school, until she knew how to read. From that moment on, she was popular in school, confident because the other kids didn't know how to read and were drawn to her because they wanted her to read for them. Check out Reading In Preschool, a tutoring service in NYC. Or think of other ways to teach him confidence, so that he doesn't get affected negatively by situations like that. [ Reply | More ]

I'm in same sitch and have recently been making a big deal about the older one's stuff like "Oh no, little one, that's your big sister's thing that she's been working so hard on." and then when the older one wants the baby stuff I kind of remind her about how we handled it the other way around and she seems better. I also make a big deal about doing a non-baby activity (building blocks or something) that is something special for just big kids and grown-ups to do together when the baby is napping. Things are not perfect, but improving. [ Reply | More ]

i took one box (or you can take one shelf) and your 3yo can designate what are "his" toys. if it doesn't fit on that shelf or he doesn't designate it for that shelf, it's for everyone to play with. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] DH has two autistic siblings, several cousins, etc. DD is 13 months old and he is driving me crazy, pointing out her possibly-autistic traits. First of all, she's too young to diagnose. Second of all, I really think most 13 month olds like to take things out of their moms purses and then put them all back again. Right? That's the only thing he notices about her behavior that worries him. We go to the websites, look at the early signs, we've talked to his parents, they all agree that its too early and her love for my pocketbook is not (necessarily) an issue. Sigh. How can I get DH to chill out? 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

That sounds very stressful ... for both of you. When I need to buy myself 5 minutes to put groceries away, I give my wallet to my 16 mos old (I take the coins out so she won't swallow them) and she loves removing every possible card/paper. [ Reply | More ]
