It's relative. I don't think it's a matter of chron age, but a matter of lifestyle. I think if you're a "young" 40s woman in excellent health with energy and vitality I think it's fine. Do you want to chase a toddler at age 50? Do you want to have a kindergartner in your ealry 50s? I mean it's all relative. [ Reply | More ]

i completely agree with this. live in nyc area and have noticed a real change...had my oldest at 30 and felt on the young side had my youngest at 38 and i feel that most of the moms of kids her age (2) are my age [ Reply | More ]

The "health" of your eggs and reproductive system has very little to do with how well you take care of yourself and much more with genetics which you have no control over. I know for me that is the biggest reason to stop at at a certain age despite a youthful appearance. I feel there are too many risks both for myself and for the child past age 40. [ Reply | More ]

OR. I agree with you. My statement presupposes that the mature mom has had any and all necessart tests possible to detect birth defects or abnormalities with the embryo. My sister was just short of her 43rd birthday when she gave birth to her youngest child, who arrived in perfect health. [ Reply | More ]

And also that mom is willing to terminate. For example, I would not go past age 35 because I would not terminate except for a life threatening condition. And 35 is my hypothetical limit-- I'm 32 and done. [ Reply | More ]

Better to have one a little older than preferred than not at all. So depends on situation. I would say 45 is too old. Mostly from an energy point of view and not being 50 when dc starts kindergarden. [ Reply | More ]

I would agree with you that personally for me 45 may be too old. Although if I had oops pregnancy at that age I think I'd keep the baby regardless. But I think it's silly for people to be obsessed about what others do. If someone wants to be a parent at 50, it is their choice not mine. [ Reply | More ]

For me, I think at least one person in the parental relationship must be able to see the kids through adulthood. My friend married a guy 15yrs our senior and he's in good health but you never know...so good she is younger. I would say the same if the woman were older and the man were younger. I do have issue with single moms getting pg when they are older b/c there is no one there for the kids..or when both are older. [ Reply | More ]

we leased a jetta and love it. corolla's aren't great cars- you'd be better off with a camry for slightly more. my tip is to download the leasing software before you do and read up. you can get ripped off with a lease so badly. but if you know that you are or arent planning to buy the car at the end of the lease, you can get a much better deal. we got a great deal on ours.
