[ - ] 12 mos has no real words. He says baba, dada, adada, but without any intention and generally points to everything and just says dada. Normally I wouldn't worry about any of this, but I spent with weekend with a friend and her 1 yo had lkike 15 words and pretty much repeated every sound you made to her. This is extraordinary right? thank you. i feel so despondent. that first weight loss was such an achievement for me. i had been overweight all my life and was finally fit at 34 (i'm 44 now). it was nice to be like "normal" people. also, i am sorry to say that sometimes i feel like food is my one pleasure in life. i am an emotional eater and need to overcome that once and for all. i will certainlyy look for that book. thanks for the help. or: i hear you. i lost 40 pounds in college. same deal - emotional eater. i feel it creeping up from time to time and have to nip it in the bud. you haven't failed, this is just something to overcome. you'll be better once you get past it. seeing a therapist or reading about ways you can accept that you have the right to enjoy your life might be helpful. don't sell yourself short! Most likely the ear infection and the hoarseness are both symptoms of a viral upper respitory infection. lots of rest and liquids. that's about all you can do. the ear infection would likely clear up on its own without the amoxicillin. [ Reply | More

Antibiotics are useless if the ear infection is viral, which most of them are. But it sounds like your dd just has cold symptoms (which are likely related to the infection). [ Reply | More
