Totally not a silly question. Sit ups are generally not recommended, however it is important to strengthen your core (ab and back muscles) as it will minimize pregnancy related discomfort. Check with a trainer on the appropriate exercises for doing so. [ Reply | More ]

sit ups and crunches are actually fine for as long as they are comfortable... Check with your doctor, not a trainer. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I don't understand people who don't want children. It's such an alien concept to me. What is it about kids that these people don't want? The responsibility? Not a flame at all. I guess it's better to not have children if you don't want it, but I just don't understand it. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Because they have other things they want to do with their lives, maybe. I love my children, but they are a HUGE suck on my time and energy. By the time they become more independent, I'll be SO OLD. [ Reply | More ]

DH and I did not want kids for years. Not sure if we ever wanted them. (changed our minds) We travelled extensively, went out after work without a care in the world, met friends at a moment's notice. How could you not see the joy in that? I love my children and have a wonderful life but also can see how a life without children can be very fulfilling. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] My aunt is so mean. My mom asked my aunt (they are sisters) if they could talk about planning a 90th bday party for their mom. My aunt said she had already planned a brunch at her friend's house. She did not know if my mom could make it. We all live in diff cities, so would take coordination. Anyway, sisters can be so mean to each other! 11 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Eating them helps protect against heart disease, birth defects and certain cancers, especially colon cancer. They have tons of folate, thus are great for pregnant women. I love them in salads with orange, goat, feta or blue cheese, and nuts like walnuts. Yum. [ Reply | More ]
