Great principal, Bob O'Brien, very solid. Good teacher morale. Good dual language program. Doesn't have the highest test scores, but lots of improvment in students doesn't tell the whole tale - many students with challenges that the school does a great job with. [ Reply | More ]

My 5 yo is terrific at restaurants. My younger ds, who turns age 3 next week, is another story. 1 out of 5 times he will sit for about 45 minutes if he's hungry enough (but not too hungry) and the food comes quickly. so we don't really go out to each much anymore. not worth the hassle. I'm hoping it improves in the next year. [ Reply | More ]

this time of year, not before September. most co-op boards (including mine) do not schedule meetings over the summer and honestly, there is no way we could get a quorum together during the summer. in absolute emergencies, we've had to have one or two people call into a conference call, but a sale wouldn't rate that treatment. np: Oh, give me a break. OP - it's a big transition, and it can be tough at that age because they are still so young and not very verbal yet. Give it some time, try to have some private time with him each day (even if it's just a snuggle in bed). [ Reply | More ]

I'm not sure what you mean. All I meant is that he was a totally well adjusted child who played independently and was really happy most of the time and calm. Many people commented on it. Oh I thought you meant you were totally worried everyday about his happiness and well being. i felt the same, only #1 was 4. Cried my eyes out a few times when she was waiting for me to put her to bed but by the time the baby was asleep, she had fallen asleep alone. That said, the baby is now 2 and they love each other a lot. I think what helps the most is to remember the almost everyone on the planet had the experience your first child is having, and survived. And I think first kids are more messed up not because of the second coming alon, but because of all the over mothering we give them before #2. That said, I still miss my total connection with #1, and they still fight over me at bedtime. gl [ Reply | More ]

So today I ran into her with her husband, whom I have never met, and I was blown away by how unattractive he was. He was really really unattractive and dressed horribly (white socks and black sneakers, etc.) I felt awful for judging, but I just couldn't understand how these two ever got together. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]
