[ - ] Does anyone know anything about international cell phone service? I am adopting a child from Medellin, Colombia and I'll need to go down there for about a month. I have AT&T and they say it will be 2.99/minute to use my regular phone down there. What are my other options? TIA. 11 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

My understanding is there has been friction between some of the teachers from the old administration and the new pricipal since the get go. As an incoming K parent, my understanding is that the lower school is very strong, with great teachers, middle is weaker but improving every year, and high has a ways to go. But I have confidence that things will continue to improve on all levels, esp. as the school gets a highly selective reputation, and in any case, I'm only concerned about the lower at this point [ Reply | More ]

Its more about what you eat and how much excersize you do instead of the bf thing. I ebf and dropped all my weight by 2 months. It's also genetic. BUT, concentrate on eating healthy, getting rest and excer. [ Reply | More ]

I had a really hard time dropping weight until I stopped bfing, then it came off fairly easily. That may be the case for you as well. You could get your period anytime, but don't expect it until after you wean. [ Reply | More ]

Some people do, but not everyone. My OB said the theory is that for some women your body holds onto weight to prepare for a starvation situation. [ Reply | More ]

BF uses up lots of calories so it usually helps with weight loss but I have heard of some people who lost weight once they stopped. With dc #1 my periods didn't return until a month after my son was fully weaned. [ Reply | More ]

I think that is because those people stop eating. When they are bf they eat healthy for the baby. When they stop they skip meals etc. [ Reply | More ]

Not me. I eat badly when bf as I know I can loose the extra calories without effort. As soon as I stop bf I have to be careful what I eat again. [ Reply | More ]

would you really stop bfing to lose weight? anyway, unlikely. You need to give yourself time, watch your calories. [ Reply | More ]
