sort of - we put in a crib tent. it has a mesh inlay that goes all around the inside of the crib and nder the mattress - so it protects against this, too [ Reply | More ]

the whole daddy phase is normal. don't take it personally, otherwise, you have a looooooong road ahead of you. talk to dh about being consistent in terms of discipline and make it clear what is important to you. be consistent with your dd. it does get better (for a while anyways-i found 4's way harder than 2) [ Reply | More ]

it's a stage - and it happens with lesbian co-parents too, btw. our dd became all about my partner for a while. which, for me, felt a bit like a relief. i find karp's "happiest toddler on the block" helpful for understanding and responding to the challenges of toddlerhood. [ Reply | More ]

I got flamed for ASKING about a C-Section here. All I wanted to know was if Dr.'s only did them for medical reasons or if people did them out of convience. And forger it if you write you had an Emergency C-Section, you will get flamed and schooled on the difference between Emergency C-Section and Regular C-Sction. most Ob's schedule repeat C-sections or 1st for a breech baby at 39 weeks. There is still a minimal risk of immature lungs, then NICU, at 38 weeks, which most will not take [ Reply | More ]

Had to smile when I saw this! I am about 34.5 wks, too. I was just sitting here feeling so uncomfortable as well. I worked until day before yesterday and then something happened with my foot and I can't walk more than a block. Trying to find a sitting position where I can breathe comfotably at the moment.
