We did a Mad Science birthday party for our then 5yo ds. Probably his best party ever. The "scientist" entertained for an hour and the kids (boys and girls) were engaged the entire time. We also opted for the dry ice experiment at the end of the party, which was a huge hit. Only downside was that we wanted to have all the kids outside (instead of in my small place), but to do the experiments they need to be indoors. [ Reply | More

I think it is kind of silly to recommend higher-end soap for this problem. Obviously, many 5yos wash their vaginas every day and DON'T get burning. I would make sure she doesn't rub any soap into herself and if the burning persists, see a doctor. Could be a bladder infection. [ Reply | More
