subscription to magazine (like My Big Backyard)? My dd loves to get mail. Or what about a necklace or bracelet - nothing super fancy, but just something with a charm your dd will like. Ped says since she is now 12 mos to give her dairy milk in a cup, and to never give her dairy milk in bottle. She refuses. Have been trying for two weeks. Will she drink her formula from a cup? If so switch to formula in a cup and then switch the formula to milk. I'm not sure about mixing milk and formula but that might work too ie increase the amount of milk gradually over time. [ Reply | More ]

Try a straw cup - my toddler learned to sip from a straw since it is much easier then the sucking required on the standard no spill sippy cup. Once she's got the cup thing down, then you can switch over to the no spill kind. [ Reply | More ]

Also just put water in the bottle so she starts to associate the good stuff (milk) with the cup. She may still want the bottle for security/habit so don't abandon it cold turkey [ Reply | More ]

My DD did the same (fine with water in cup but not milk), so I just gave her the bottle and started weaning her off of it gradually. By the time I was only giving her 1-2 bottles a day (about 14 mo), she came around. I got rid of them quickly once she was drinking milk out of the cup. So much easier than I ever expected! no bottles past 1 - my son loved the straw cup but it spills a little so you have to be more careful than with a sippy cup with a valve [ Reply | More ]
