[ - ] 2.5 yo dd wakes up occasionally screaming and crying and is inconsolable. she wants to be held but is very combative and wont let you rub her back or talk to her or anything. eventually she wants to be brought into the living room and wants tv once she calms down. i cant tell if this is a night terror or a ploy for tv. turning on the tv is the only thing that beings her back to reality. anyone else have this? 1 Reply [ Reply | Watch | More ]

during a night terror, the child is still asleep. if she is indicating she wants tv, either the terror has woken her up and she has a good routine going, or she is having nightmares. I would think in either case even though it calms her down, visually stimulating her might be a terrible idea. [ Reply | More ]

Some great, sturdy trucks. The books I Love Planes, I Love Trucks, I Love School (DS thought those were great) or another book is I Can Name 100 Trucks, Boats, Planes (something like that--a big board book w/ lots of detail). [ Reply | More ]

np: Community coodinator. Donna does handle admissions (although Marcie does some of this too), purchasing, busing. Both are liaisons with parents to deal with questions they have about the school, policies and procedures, problems. Their jobs overlap a lot. Marcie handles internal scheduling and field trips and coordinates the Learning Leaders, too. But both spend a lot of time with parent inquiries from outside and inside the building. [ Reply | More ]

UES and east side generally, except for 198's zone and LES. Or downtown in the village, Tribeca, Battery Park area. UWS for 199 and 87 are good (generally 65th to 79th Streets) [ Reply | More ]

you might be confusing your terms. Districts are big land areas, D1, D2, D3 etc. that contain lots of zoned schools. The zone is for one school [ Reply | More ]

dd can do straight up baby food any time, you mean like chicken and turkey and veggies etc.? you don't have to mix it. as long as you wait about 4 days after introducing new food to watch for allergies you can pretty much do whatever baby will eat providing it is the right texture (obviously no nuts, eggs, strawberries) [ Reply | More ]
