[ - ] TMI but I am 16 wks pg and I am having pee problems! It seems like it's much more effort to do it and when I am finished, I'll clean myself up and sometimes when I get up, more pee leaks out all over my underwear! So gross! Don't beat yourself up. It isn't all caused by diet. Some women are more predisposed to gestational diabetes than others. It depends a lot on your risk factors (pre-pregnancy weight, family history, age, race etc.) as well. [ Reply | More

my ob told me to eat an extra serving of a complex carb (rice, bread or potatoes) at each meal for the 2-3 days before the test. fwiw, w/1st preg, i passed 1 hour by 4 points. 2nd preg, failed 1 hour by 1 point and passed each of the 3 hour test by 20-60 points. good luck. [ Reply | More

you cannot prepare for this test and shouldn't try to trick the numbers. eat what you normally would. take a good book or magazines with you. I failed my first test but passed the second 3 hour test. it happens. and if you have gd it is totally manageable and a good heads up for future diet. [ Reply | More

We have an early April dd and she will be attending her sib's preschool which has a 2 yo cutoff for September 1. Most nursery schools have a cutoff that is a little bit older. You will have the option to apply to schools for the twos but you will also be able to apply for the threes at some she wasn't old enough for if you don't get a spot this year. [ Reply | More

not quite the same, but i tested positive at home on 5 different tests, all right before or day after missed period. Went to OB and tested negative (!) -- their test was less sensitive. of course, blood test came back positive [ Reply | More
