i would say to her "no hitting!" and then send her to the timeout chair. does one adult really think it's okay to physically discipline another person's child? if she had an issue with how your kid behaves, she should bring it to your attention, not raise her hand to your child. [ Reply | More

[ - ] Dh's relatives have rented a house in southern France for a month this summer. They are quite old and have invited us to come sans kids. Our kids (in August) will be 8mos and 3.5yrs. If I were looking to get away from my kids it would not be to the SOF with relatives, SOF is great but not to stay with relatives unless you LOVE these relatives. One thing to bring kids, free etc., but otherwise rent your own place and visit with them [ Reply | More
