11 is very up and coming. 3 while established and way more white overall is also more progressive less traditional. i've heard mixed things about the k/1 class but more so on the 2/3 class. esp in the 2/3 class b/c they spend so much time teaching the 3rd grade tests and not enough on actual learning - but this is probably a public school problem overall. but it does mean that your 2nd grader will spend 2yrs learning that test and not 1 [ Reply | More

no, that's not true. 80% 4th grders scored a 3 or above on ela at 3 while only 61% did at 11. the scores aren't broken down into g&t and gen ed; presumably 11's g&t scoes are much higher than the combined scores, but there is no way of telling. [ Reply | More

[ - ] Just joined our neighborhood pool. Went today at 4 w/kids, put stuff at a table. At around 5:30 started to crowd up for cookout night - ppl start putting their stuff all around our table. like I said before, they are losers. their lives are very small. try not to let them ruin your pool club experience, it's a great place for kids to hang out and for you - access to a pool w/ none of the maintenance headaches. [ Reply | More

the swim club in my hood is full of uptight status seeking people. They "haze" the newcomers and the newcomers have to work the year they join (doing maintenance, serving, etc.) since they pride themselves on being a self managed club. It's all a bunch of horse hockey if you ask me. [ Reply | More
