[ - ] my dad just emailed this article to me about dry drowning. I'm passing it on because summer is here and it's helpful info. I didn't even know this was possible. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/110157.php 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

trick is, you must get on with your life regardless. it will happen, and if not, you'll be leading a nice, normal life in the meantime before any harder deciscions have to be made. [ Reply | More ]

I would be crushed and I don't know what I would do. I detest lying and sneaking of all sorts--the denial would really bother me, but I can also see where a desperate person would attempt denial first to avoid all the drama. [ Reply | More ]

my 5yo just saw the Little Mermaid and loved it. Last year she saw Beauty and the Beast and thought it was wonderful. We will probably take her to see Mary poppins sometime over the summer [ Reply | More ]

I took my 4yr dd earlier this year. She was able to sit through the whole show - intermission was enough for her to get her wigglies out. We haven't seen the little mermaid so I can't compare. [ Reply | More ]

I took mine when she was almost five and she loved it. I think it would have been fine earlier, but it depends on your dc. It is more like the books than the movie - Mary Poppins is not so overly sweet and there are a few mildly scary parts. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Something new to be paranoid about--did you read about the SC boy who died of "dry drowning"--an hour after swimming? Apparently if water gets in lungs, child can die up to 24 hours later of drowning? Signs are tiredness and crankiness--identical to the symptoms of me telling ds that it is time to go home from the pool. 6 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

np: I think in the majority of these cases the patient would obviously swallow some water, appear to be breathing okay so nobody worries about them, then they die later. Not just seemingly out of the blue like they made it seem on the today show [ Reply | More ]
