[ - ] Any car service recommendations to the airport? Need to fit 3 adults, two kids in carseats and LOTS of luggage. Would you get a limo or a van? 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

If you don't want to take your own car seats (or even if you do) consider Kid Car NY. We used them recently for our trip to JFK from UES and we were pleased with the service. They are expensive but worth it. They use minivans and would have space for you all. Don't think they offer the service at all times though. [ Reply | More ]

Yes we did. Their website has details of the hours they operate and they were very helpful on the phone. They really understood the importance of knowing where to meet us at the airport etc because of having the kids with us. They also do not use cell phones while driving. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] How is this for a short term plan- I lost my job and I'm in the middle of a divorce, 2 dc. I am taking two weeks to wallow and drink, one week on vaca with dc (planned a while back), then two months working on me (dc in camp). Then I will begin to panic about being unemployed. How does that sound? 10 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I lost my job too and need to come up for clever ideas to bring in income. I agree with taking 2 weeks off and vacation, I'd send out resumes during the week and follow-up asap. g/l [ Reply | More ]

I just lost my job too. I can't get over the feeling of failure, I feel like everyone is looking at me as I walk around and thinking, boy what a loser. Does anyone have any good redemption stories? Like Donna Shalala was fired at Teacher's College, and then became president of Hunter and Education Secretary. I need more stories like that. OP: does waiting make any difference in your field? If not, then you have a good plan. [ Reply | More ]

I lost my job at an investment bank while pg, started a new job a few days later at a different ib and was able to bank all my severance and benefits from the first job (about 2 years worth of salary). About 2 years into the new job, old firm called me begging me to come back. [ Reply | More ]

I live in pelham and love it. a smallish town, but in a good way. friendly people for the most part. i don't have anyone in the elementary schools yet, but siwanoy seems to be the best. colonial is having an issue with space and prospect is nice but farther from train and more spread out (harder to walk everywhere). where is the house? Depends on size of family. We have a 3br with 3 dc. We will probably want to expand in a few years to add another br so they can each have a room, but I can't imagine us with a 5br. We do have a basement though. Thant helps. [ Reply | More ]

I don't. But I do believe that Autism is inherited and probably requires some kind of promoting event in predisposed children. Toxicity could play a role in that and it could turn out to be true that the toxins that are in vaccines are involved. But I don't think vaccines "cause" autism. [ Reply | More ]
