well, I guess it could be the beginning of the end, but then again, maybe it's the beginning of the 2 of you really communicating. Have you tried things like date nights or weekend getaways? Sounds like it may be a little beyond that right now, but if you can make a start, something like that can help you remember what drew you to him in the first place. Is he going to individ therapy or are you going to do couple's? [ Reply | More ]

individual therapy. lots of stuff going on that he wants to address and i'm happy he's finally addressing it. we are pleasant to each other. communicate well about specific things, but ultmatley i feel like he's not considerate of me at all. which i read as a reflection of how he feels about me and not bc that's how he is. we have done the date night thing. and are finally at a point where we can do it more often. lots of outside stress too. i don't know what to make of this all. when i go to therapy, he asks me abt it. and then sort of sulks if i dont' want to talk abt it. altho i often do. i didn't ask him anything. gave him his space. he says nothing. it's his right, but it still bother's me. was just a big elephant sitting in the car with us on the way home (i had to drive him there and back.... which is another longish story altho not part of our issues) [ Reply | More ]

maybe since he asked about yours, he wants you to ask about his too. Try that - gently. Maybe preface it with "if you don't want to talk about it, it's ok, but how did it go?". Maybe he is looking for an opening. In the meantime, try to remember the days when you were dating and what you liked about him then. That always helps me get through the times when I am feeling not so close to DH. GL to you. Keep working at it. [ Reply | More ]

I have been with a 24mo recently, and it was good for that age. At the one I went to, there were people with babies (younger siblings) and some of the kids were running around/not in their seats. I think my daughter liked it, but the movie we saw (this sounds ridiculous) was only okay - Elmosize. It was weirdly outdated and he told the kids to get up and jump so they did. [ Reply | More ]

make sure you go with a big agency, not one that specializes in ecuador, because many countries are deciding not to let americans adopt, and if this happens while you're going through the process, then you're out of luck at a smaller agency. [ Reply | More ]
