[ - ] Well, well, it does seem that there are A sibling problems after all, based on the latest Inside Schools post about sorting out sibling red tape. 7 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

also a D5 parent with a daughter already at Anderson (going on to 2nd grade). We're still trying to sort through some red tape to find out where our equally bright son will be going for K in Sept. We would love to set up a play date with another D5 family for our son. [ Reply | More ]

Please don't read too deep into a post that was specifically meant for another D5 parent. As the originator of that post, I will say the "red tape" had nothing to do with Anderson. [ Reply | More ]

Stop manufacturing controversies that don't exist. You are reading between the lines, if you interpret this to mean that there is some problem with Anderson siblings. that poster never indicated that her son even qualified for citywides! Just saying that he is as equally smart as his sister doesn't mean that he's going to A. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. [ Reply | More ]

DS. We are really pleased. We think the G&T is going to be great. And after a year of writing private school application letters and going on endless interviews and meeting a ridiculous number of admissions directors, only to get waitlisted, we are so glad it's over .. [ Reply | More ]

I agree 100%! We were actually planning on applying to privates again in the fall (summer boy). But when we got the acceptance we decided that now we will likely sit tight until middle school. I wrote this below, but with 9 taking only one class I think 166 is going to be as good if not better based on peer group--particularly for boys (we ranked 166 over 9 because we were worried there would be too few boys at 9). Are you going to the picnic Saturday? If so, we look forward to meeting you there! [ Reply | More ]

ITA. And maybe this is naive, but I think we have a real opportunity here to strenghten the program going forward, too. Seems like many of the parents will be really committed, and the peer group looks great. [ Reply | More ]

be very careful giving your kid benadryl especially if it's the 1st time. you dont' want to try out a new med 30K in the air. I flew when db was 4mo. He was great on 1st leg of trip slept the whole time. 2nd leg he screamed the whole time. i kept apologizing to people around us and everyone kept saying they understood and had "been there" [ Reply | More ]

just try the benedryl a week before to see if there are any adverse reactions. It's really not that big of a deal, and I imagine that the baby would prefer it. It is really uncomfortable flying if you don't know how to ease your ears popping. [ Reply | More ]
