[ - ] Can anyone give me some good tips for lunch with boss today? The purpose of the lunch is to "celebrate my 4 year anniversary." i'd only speak up if there's something you want from her that she can give, i.e. a promotion, new assignment, etc. it's a good opportunity for asking for something like that. but if you don't want anything, just chat. though i'm guessing if she senses you want to leave and she's taking you out, she might offer something or probe how she can keep you. What do you mean she asked others to detail their summers" We have a dc w/ a summer bday, and we usually just send out a message asking people if they expect to be in town on X date; sort of as a save-the-date reminder for them, and for us to get a general sense of how many dc might come because it has an effect on what kind of party we'll plan.
