Actually, I think Rome is awful in the heat - bring sweaters to layer, the temps change a lot during the day, and also bring light jackets (waterproof would be a plus, just in case of a shower). [ Reply | More ]

^finished 1st grade at a public G&T and that was the book the more advanced readers were reading beginning to mid year of 1st grade. Maybe it is closer to a 2nd grade level....I would think encyclopedia brown would be a higher grade level. I remember reading those in 4th grade. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Our nanny of three years recently decided that since I was eight months pregnant it would be a fabulous time to take a five week vacation back to the Philippines. I had to get a replacement to take care of ds while I was working. The new nanny has worked out famously--my sons loves her and so do we. She has also expressed a desire to stay on permanently. I'd give her 3-4 weeks severance. I'd also, if possible, see if I could get a message to her and tell her that you've hired someone else, that you'll be happy to help her find another position, that you will give her X amt of severance. If you can't get in touch with her, have her severance ready to go the day she is scheduled to come back and tell her when she reports back to work. [ Reply | More ]

I totally had the same situation happen to me! I think our nanny did it because she wanted to be let go...didn't want to watch 2 kids. They sell car seat bags at buy buy baby. It's just a heavy duty duffle more or less. You can't prevent it from being hurled around. As a matter of fact once when I checked mine the agent told me that with carseats they are only responsible for loss, not damage. My best advice, if you can afford it is to buy a 2nd cheaper (like $99) car seat for travel (if you fly a lot). This is what we did. [ Reply | More ]

the gap sells them-try the gap near bloomie's. nordstrom on-line sells them too. what size are you? I had a hard time w/ lumpiness since I have small boobs. destination measured me incorrectly and then they didn't carry b-cups. you can also try babies r us-they sell nursing bras. [ Reply | More ]

fyi- you're probably going to go up a cup size when your milk comes in, it will take a few weeks for it to stabilize. it's good to have a couple of sizes to go up and down with. i ordered them from figleaves.com. follow the measuring guide. the anita nursing bras are awsome. [ Reply | More ]

I went to a place on Broadway.. on the east side.. walking north from 74th.. (I can't remember the name.. but it's just a few blocks up on the corner.) They were great. I had just come from the Town Shoppe.. where I got a really hard sell.. and I was feeling very annoyed. I got one bra at this place.. df sister is supposed to be in the wedding and just started shit between df and I yesterday. Df flat out told me that he doesn't want her in the wedding because that is not how the maid of honor treats the bride. He also told him mom to not come to the wedding. He knows I don't deserve this, and it has taken him awhile to pull himself to see where I come from; but he is sick of the evil mom and sis putting him in the middle and pretty much making him choose.
