I think at that stage of the game you just wipe them with a wet washcloth. No toothpaste and don't use a toothbrush. [ Reply | More ]

I would make sure baby has some fluoride in diet somehow. It actually isn't as great topically, it really needs to me ingested because it is part of the building blocks of teeth. [ Reply | More ]

Their is a SO parent distressed about going there who was posting frequently during the spring and G&T season. I toured last year and liked the school and principal with the exception of the large classes and lack of gym. The new facility sounds great, not certain how life will be the temp facility. I toured it with my friend who is zoned (I liked touring and comparing schools). It is a nice school. They have a temporary space while building a brand new school - so that might be challenging. But if zoned for it, I wouldn't freak out. The principal is great. [ Reply | More ]

when we moved I started with my insurance list, then I found a magazine article that rated the doctors- one of the 'best in the city' articles. I chose that practice. You can also call the labor/delivery unit at your local hospital and talk to a nurse and see who she might recommend, but I would be hesitant to do that because I would worry about taking them away from their work. Is snap n go liek a Snugride? You can use the bugaboo bassinet fromthebeginning, that's what it' for.Wemoved upto the stroller seat by about 4mos though. we had a winter baby so the snugride wouldn't have worked b/c we needed the rain/wind shield most of the time. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Anyone else concerned with how much Saturated fat is in whole milk? I'm not the type to worry about how much fat my 13mo is having--she runs around like a banshee--but I am concerned about how much unhealthy saturated fat she is having. One cup (8oz.) has 25%. That would have her downing 100% of the recommended sat. fat everyday. Can I cut back to 2 or 1%? Or do half whole half 1%? 10 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

It really is unpredictable. Our first au pair was amazing and we are still in touch with her to this day. Our second was horrible. She drank and drove our car drunk with the other au pairs. We ended the contract early. I think the difference is we had moved to Manhattan and the au pairs that are interested in coming to NYC are interested in partying in NYC rather than caring for kids.
