btdt. my dd poops on a 24 hr schedule - meaning every 24 hours (approx). If something happens and she gets on a nap time poop schedule, it's a pita to get off of. What generally works for us is to not nap for a day - stay away from home (she only poops at home). Basically distract her so she doesn't poop until later evening. Weird sounding, I know. But it usually only takes 1 day and then she's on an evening poop schedule. Good luck! [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Going to do sleep training this weekend on dc, and I can't decide if to do it for naps at the same time as nighttime. For my first dc, we did nightime first, and I think it created confusion that naps were with a lot more soothing, paci, etc. So I'm tempted to do it all together this time. But is that just too much for the kid to handle at once? Can't make up my mind. What have others experienced? Thanks. 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

uh - yeah. There are things you could do to distract or in some other way get her to calm down. Maybe you think she's crying for icecream but she's just crying for you to love her. and she thinks you don't because you abandon her at night when she needs you. [ Reply | More ]

I couldn't let my infant cio, but I'm certainly willing to let my 3 y/o if that's what it takes. Of course, I prefer to find other ways of disciplining, but if that's what's necessary, that's what happens. A child who can understand "you can't have ice cream for breakfast. your choice is either to sit and eat or cry in your room" is totally different from a baby who just wants to be held [ Reply | More ]
