Goat on a Boat Pupper Theater in Sag Harbor has performances on Saturdays (and perhaps at other times) -- look on their website. The playground in Sag Harbor (huge park) is really nice, too. If you're going at the end of August, there's kids day at the Hampton Classic Horse Show. [ Reply | More ]

do you really think so? Salary is a minimum of $60K plus health benefits. That's more than a lot of my friends make! plus, the hours she quoted are about 55 a week and they are paying $60/hr for every hour over 50, so there is about $15k in overtime. I think the pay is excellent! and the youngest kid is 9, so it's all errands and stuff during the school day, and no housekeeping mentioned, so I bet they have a full time housekeeper. we have a great bike shop near us that gave us this advice that totally works ! Take the pedals off the bike and lower the seat all the way. This way DC "scoots" while using his feet and learns how to balance their weight on the bike. The pedals are just a distraction in this process. When DC can coast easily with feet off the ground, add the pedals back and VOILA ! [ Reply | More ]

Fake or a really pathetic guy. Our sex life is by mutual choice and for mutual pleasure. That includes some times of mutual masturbation or orgasm for only the one of the two of us who's initiating. Women need sex just as much as men do. One very odd thing about this board is the seemingly high percentage of women here who do not have satisfying sex in their marriages. Seems like the 50's here with 'duty' sex and minimal communication. [ Reply | More ]

Not everyone could get their shit together and we cancelled the reservation at 8:00 AM the day of the dinner. The cook emailed back saying that she had shopped for the group and she was charging me 400 Euro for her effort. I know it was an inconvenience, but this is a restaurant in the main square of a good-size city hours before the city's big music festival and I am pretty sure that our tables were used and no food was wasted. In addition, it turns out they were putting health issues on her record that didn'a actually happen. nothing serious. things like rashes or pale skin, supposedly did this so it could be claimed thru the insur as a medically necessary visit. is that standard? 10 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

[ - ] how much stimulation/play does a newborn need? i'm exhausted just feeding her and changing diapers. i do try to talk to her while i'm doing this, and play with her fingers. Is that enough? She's only 2 weeks old. 6 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

you are coming off the hormones. honestly i had a super baby easy as pie, now @ 5 mos he is more demanding and i cán't get work done. at 2 week point you are perfect if you are providing food, diapers and keeping the baby clean. hang in. she doesn't need anything more than your contact, she is learning from just being awake, listening, in the carrier, stroller --that's all she needs. you are doing great! REALLY! [ Reply | More ]

that's plenty. everything is stimulation to a newborn. light, sound, being awake. touch. it's great talking toher, letting her hear your voice, holding her, especially skin to skin contact. but sleep as much as you can. it's good for both of you. [ Reply | More ]

When a baby is two weeks old, EVERYTHING is new an exciting. Light, air, ambient noise -- everything! You don't need to "stimulate" her. [ Reply | More ]

She needs skin to skin contact, eye to eye contact, and some tummy time--that's it. [ Reply | More ]

Chapter books for read-aloud. My first DD loved the Little House series at 5. (My second not so much, so just buy the first book to test the waters.) My Father's Dragon is also great fun. Betsy-Tacy is great for that age, too. [ Reply | More ]
