I'm the one that created nycitymoms. You'll always need an email to join but you can make your username anonymous by just changing your username on the profile. Most people are changing it to anonymous but you can change it to whatever you want. [ Reply | More

I signed up and changed my username to something else. Its totally fine. You just need some email, doesn't have to be your primary email, there is no validation/activation link sent.
