Yikes. Signed up for nyccitymoms and it seems as though my email is visible! Will that site not be anonymous? I don't want my email or name out there! I changed my profile to Private but then it says I won't be able to follow or comment. Was I supposed to make up a fake email address and how do I delete my account now? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

But there is no user Id associated with posts. A cite that shows what user posted what is a very different type of forum, more like reddit, it’s not truly anonymous as all your posts are associated with a persona even if it is a fake name and email. [ Reply | More

I'm the one that created nycitymoms. You'll always need an email to join but you can make your username anonymous by just changing your username on the profile. Most people are changing it to anonymous but you can change it to whatever you want. [ Reply | More

I signed up and changed my username to something else. Its totally fine. You just need some email, doesn't have to be your primary email, there is no validation/activation link sent. You sign up, change your username and you are good to go. Hope to continue chatting with UB on nycitymoms :) [ Reply | More
