we are in Rye, but loved the person who re-did our floors. he was recommended to us by a friend here. I think he also does work in the city. I was happy with the price. it was about 5000 for 2500 square feet - sanded whole house, coated, etc. He has also done some deck work for us. Very professional and detailed. Of course. But there are factors which have changed the results a lot. Women are working in pro jobs so they can afford to tell him to get the fuck out. The church/synagogue was a much stronger part of life then. And of course birth control has made it a lot easier/lower risk. [ Reply | More

i missed the other post about this, but don't something like 85% of all women have at least one strain of HPV? i'm not saying this woman should trust her dh -- i just can't understand the vacationing alone 4x/year thing -- but on the other hand, you can have and HPV and (1) not know it, (2) be totally fine. they can also clear up on their own and come back, so you could have had it for a long time and just didn't catch it. in other words, i'd separate these issues. hpv is one issue; lack of trust with dh is another [ Reply | More
