np: Our school is telling us that kids don't really question what happens to other kids at this age. We are in a new district, DS is past the age cutoff. We tried 2 months of 1st grade this spring, he isn't cut out to be with kids up to 18 months older than him. He'll be repeating 1st grade. [ Reply | More

I think they are. I was thinking about it today and at some point down the road when we switch to middle school, which might be private school (we're in public school now), I can see that DC would be held back then. Yes. 6yo and $6/week. He has three banks - Save, Spend and Give. This is the second year he has done it. The Save is for family birthdays and Christmas. Give is for charities of his choice at the end of the year. A mom on UB recommended this. [ Reply | More

OR...this is true and this is what I was thinking about...most co-ops want to know the workers are 'bonded', which means insured. For my building, bonded trades people are only required for plumbing, electrical, and other 'structural/significant' work. Not painting or tiling or refinishing floors etc. [ Reply | More
