[ - ] Want to help me out while you are all waiting for g&t placement letters? My dc wants to open a savings account (in manhattan). Does anyone know of a bank that has no fee savings for children with 25.00? Next question, I boiled water in a pan, it all boiled away. Pan "cooked" for a while - oops. When I dunked pan in cool water the bottom of the inside turned all yucky brown/black. Have soaked for 2 days. How do I get this off? Its not crusty. Thanks! 12 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Commerce bank. We opened savings accounts for both our kids there. They have cool machines to count coins too if they want to put in money from their piggy banks. Throw out the pan you may have flaked off dangerous stuff. [ Reply | More ]

Amalgamated Bank has no fees. There's a branch on 14th St. just east of 5th Ave., one on E.23rd St (at 3rd Ave) and one on Broadway in the 50s. It's a labor-owned bank (International Ladies Garment Workers). [ Reply | More ]

Yes, you can use bleach, but make sure it is well rinsed. And, if the clothes were not originally white you can have unpleasant results. You should also try soaking in OxyClean in super, super hot water for at least 3-4 hours. (better overnight) Wash and see how everything looks. Repeat if necessary, *before* drying. [ Reply | More ]
