Anyone have easy, good recipe for appetizer that I can bring to an outdoor (casual) cocktail party this evening? Not sure of number of people but everyone has to bring one so I'm sure it's O.K. if I don't make a huge quantity. TIA! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

cherry tomato, cube of mozzarela cheese (supermarket kind works fine), a half leaf of basil...all on a toothpick. salt pepper olive oil right before serving. They should "stand up on the cube or half of tomato facing down ward. [ Reply | More ]

really good olives from a local shop. If you wan to snazz them up, get them this afternoon, chop some garlic and slice some shalots and lemons really thin. Add a little pepper and some extra olicve oil. Let stand at room temp for a few hours. Add sea salt before serving and bring some crusty cut up bread for dipping. Another idea: sliced chorizo and manchego cheese on a platter together. Cornichon. [ Reply | More ]
