I went really wanting to dislike it so we could just put our district after anderson, then loved it. got our district anyway, so it's all been a long, exhausting windup -- but I really loved that school (commute, neighborhood, naysayers and all). OR: This is the one I know of. Some great statistitions here on UB came up with lots of theories as to how many 98s would place at NEST (about a month ago, I think). My 99 didn't get A or N, but got district, so obviously a LOT of the 978 kids who got 97 and up actually got 99s. Maybe 400? I am surprised, to be honest. Ah well. [ Reply | More

I think lowering the threshold was done mainly for the benefit of dc in bad districts where the general ed options are truly bad, and even a so-so G&T would be a big step up. [ Reply | More
