why so many love NEST? The phychologist who had the SB for my dc told me that some parents pulled their dc out from NEST after Kindergarten. I really do not like the neighborhood. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Ppl in Brooklyn (Anderson is too far) and ppl in lower Manhattan like it bec it's closer. Also, a bigger school and more spots than Anderson. Goes up to HS. [ Reply | More

I went really wanting to dislike it so we could just put our district after anderson, then loved it. got our district anyway, so it's all been a long, exhausting windup -- but I really loved that school (commute, neighborhood, naysayers and all). I just wonder what happens if people don't accept the spots like they've been saying they would -- who gets those spots. ugh. [ Reply | More

My dc is just finishing Kindergarten at Nest. She was out sick one day last week and said that she hates missing school because she misses her friends and all the fun things they did that day. That statement alone is true testimony and holds more water than any shrink's opinion. [ Reply | More
