How are your teens handling isolation? My 16 yo is very upset. She misses her friends excitement etc. Younger daughter is ok bc more of a loner. How do I help my 16 yo. Don’t want her to become depressed [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

DD stays in her room all day. 14. Seems to be in a pretty good mood but I don't think this is good. Thankfully she goes back to school mid-August [ Reply | More ]

Same thing with my DD 13. I try to encourage her to do non-screen activities, but there's only so much I can do. She seemed OK until this week, but for the last few days she's become increasingly anxious. It doesn't help that some of her friends have been getting together in a non socially distant way. (We are in NYC and we are not seeing friends unless masked and outside and distanced.) [ Reply | More ]

14 yr old DD has gone out to meet a few friends in a nearby park. They sit on the grass and chat with their face masks for about an hour and then go home. Little visits like this has really helped. [ Reply | More ]
