I'm on day 17! Yes, stick with it - the first bit is always tough (this is my 6th time) but by halfway through the month you are feeling like a million bucks. Do a lot of meal prep and I'd recommend following Whole30 recipes on instagram as well as Whole30. I've gotten tons of great ideas from there. It is not easy but it's worth it. [ Reply | More ]

one word: PREPARE! make sure you have the right ingredients and snacks in your pantry and some plan of what you will eat for the week. doesn't have to be fancy or fussy, just has to be compliant. if you get stuck without the right stuff, you will go off plan and be mad at yourself! [ Reply | More ]

get ready for a rough 3-4 days at the beginning, esp if you are sugar-dependent. aches, stomach upset, dizziness, etc until you adjust, and then it becomes MUCH easier. [ Reply | More ]

It's worth it! Our family has done it several times and usually stick with it for more than 30 days. Don't feel like every meal has to be a big production. There are a lot of great recipes, but we often just had baked chicken with roasted potatoes and broccoli. Don't cheat even a tiny bit, especially with sugar. I am a dessert person and was satisfied with tea (Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice is really sweet!) and a couple of those date roll things after dinner. [ Reply | More ]

Stick with it. You have to give up alcohol too, or it doesn't work. This is a great time to do it though, because you'll mostly be home. It is so much harder to do if you are going out to eat, or have to pick up lunch at the office, etc. [ Reply | More ]

One of the few diet plans I could get behind. Didn't agree with all the eliminations but understood the principal. Eat real food, not processed food. It will simplify your pantry. Plan to start another 30 day cycle myself. I also think that it's okay to have a slip now and then. Ignore the haters that say if you CHEAT you have to start over...people with eating disorders who don't understand that any plan has to be sustainable more than 30 days. [ Reply | More ]
