I really feel for you Moms with small kids and working going through this. I don't know how you are managing. Truly. Like, moms with kids under age 8. I never spent this much time with my kids ever - FT WOHM. Even on maternity leave I had sitters breaking up the day. They are teens now so it is doable. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Omg, they are crazy, please don't feel pressured! I have a teen but a very intense job, there is absolutely no way I could do this with a small child and no help. I remember working on the weekend when DC was little and DH had to go to his office so it was just me, DC pounded on our BR door and yelled for me all through a conference call with a senior partner, our client and its crisis PR team, I felt like my personal crisis was the thing they should be strategizing about! Yes! I second this! I'm working part-time with teens, and I'm barely holding it together. I don't know how you all are doing it, but a huge cheers to you! [ Reply | More ]

We live in a small apartment, have two preschoolers and DH was laid off partway through this mess. On a scale from -10 to +10, the first part when we were both working was -7.5 (and only not -10 because nobody in my family had covid) and the second part has been like -4. I am incredibly grateful that thus far my entire extended family has been healthy and it has been nice to eat most meals together as a family, but otherwise this has been really tough.
