^^ also, much of my college was "co-op" work-study 5 year program and she attended from '98-'03. No non-Canadians/non-Canadian PR in the co-op program, so she 100% has Canadian citizenship. [ Reply | More

It's pretty easy for Canadians with good qualifications to get work visas, and the wait after GC approval is short (unlike Indians or Chinese who wait decades). DH & I are both Canadians, came here first on TN visas (also available for Americans who want to work in Canada), transitioned to H1B so we could apply for GCs, and got GC approved and actual GC in 2 years. ^^ why do you think that she has a U.S. parent? I'd say 1/3 of my class from Waterloo have worked or are working in the U.S. The ones who are still here all have U.S. citizenship by now (as well as retaining Canadian citizenship). [ Reply | More
