Am I crazy for thinking I will send my kids to camp? Waiting to confirm the safety details, but feel like between the choice of being trapped inside a small apt all summer long or taking a risk and doing camp, camp sounds like a better choice since my kids are going CRAZY without interaction from others. Same. Older ds’s sleep away camp is saying they’re open, and I will send him (it’s for two weeks). He desperately needs to be spending entire days in nature and kayaking on a lake and being around other kids his age. [ Reply | More ]

If we had income (we don't right now), I would also send DCs. [ Reply | More ]

One of my kids' day camps might still run, but I am also actively looking for outdoor camps for my kids--horseback riding, tennis, farm camp, etc.--I don't see many safety issues with those kinds of programs. I am also considering joining with 1 or 2 other families and hiring someone for a backyard camp type thing, maybe for my younger child. [ Reply | More ]
