Anyone on who spotted during early pregnancy and then went on to have a healthy pregnancy? When did you start spotting and when/how did you know it wasn't a miscarriage? Tia [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

me. I think I was spotting at 8 wks and again a little at 12. That was it and although I remained scared to look at my underpants for the remainder of the pg- everything was fine. It's actually very very common. [ Reply | More

op:6 weeks here and spotting but nothing else. Asked for advice earlier and was suggested that I don't test yet as I may have a false +ve (and frankly I don't want false hopes). Thought it was good advice and am not testing. But still curious about your experiences. When will I know for sure? Don't have ob appt till mid June. It's a new ob so don't think she will fax in script for bloodwork now (?). A bit of cramping off and on. Any advice? [ Reply | More

I did at 8 wks w/#2, for a few days, and everything was fine. With #1 I had blood in my uterus- can't remember what it was called (subchorionic hematoma, maybe?) and the OB told me to expect spotting, and to call her if I had a clot bigger than a quarter, but I never did have any bleeding. Yes, I did. didn't even realize I was pregnant. Implantation bleeding and then about a month after that. I had a healthy, uneventful pregnancy after that...GL! Very common from what I understand. [ Reply | More
