Getting ready to do cio with 11 mo old. Want to hear your horror stories to mentally prepare! Know that he is going to cry for a long time - maybe hours - and will get really worked up and not sure i'll be able to handle it. Am full time wohm and have been rocking to sleep cause don't see DS as much as i'd like. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

no horror stories - they get hysterical and then calm down. just make sure to wind DS down before putting down for sleep. do it gradually. let him get used to the idea that you are there even when he does not see you. [ Reply | More

1 hour 45 min the first night. Just hang tough, have a glass of wine. In some ways it's not as bad as you think it will be b/c it's so horrible when they're waking up constantly and you're not getting any sleep and it takes hours to rock them to sleep... Good luck! [ Reply | More

I always would go in every 5 or 10 mins, same interval each time, and just pat and say its ok, then leave. felt better to me than not going in at all. all 3 kids are great sleepers. [ Reply | More
