My 21 mo dd took a nasty spill down from the second step of our building outside onto the pavement this morning. She is acting totally normal, but her face is all scraped up and a little swollen on one side with a huge goose egg on her forehead. I iced it for a few minutes after it happened, but that's all she would tolerate. Other than neosporin for the scrapes, anything else I should do?? It looks just awful. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Same expect thing happened to my dd when she was 22 months. Nothing much you can do, just make sure she isn't acting unusually tired or throwing up. I called our ped when it happened and was told neosporin is the best thing, plus tylenol if you think it hurts her. They heal so fast, she'll be back to normal in less than a week. [ Reply | More ]

I used to ice and count 1-10 and take off, and 1-10 and do it again. My dc tolerated that and counted too! [ Reply | More ]
